This mix is generally resistant, but it is also one of the finest mix of natural fibers.  Hence you need to treat it with a bit of extra care. But don’t worry, it’s simpler than you think.

The Basics

Less is more. Wool doesn’t need frequent washing as it is naturally stain and odour resistant. Just air it out on a breezy day.

To remove stains, the best way is hand washing with a drop of a mild detergent.

Please, follow this simple steps and your cuddly blanket will stay soft and fluffy.

  • Soak in lukewarm water (under 30°C).
  • Use gentle wool detergent or shampoo (avoid bleach or fabric softeners)
  • Rinse gently and allow to drain
  • Gently press the blanket to remove excess water without stretching or twisting
  • Dry flat: over a towel or mesh rack. Never hang or tumble dry.

Is machine washing possible?

Generally, it's recommended to avoid machine washing wool items as it can cause wool to felt, shrink, and lose its shape.  If you have some

  • Use a mesh laundry wash bag to protect your throw from agitation
  • Select the most delicate cycle "hand wash," "wool" or "cold water" with low spin
  • Do not overcrowd the machine. Better to wash the blanket alone.
  • Remove immediately after completing the cycle
  • Air-dry the blanket lying flat.

100% New Wool

When it comes to taking care of your wool blanket, proper ventilation is key. One of the simplest yet most effective methods to freshen your blanket is by airing it outside. Begin by giving the wool blanket a good shake to loosen any dust or dirt. Then, hang it in an area with ample airflow, allowing the natural breeze to circulate through the fibres and revitalise its freshness.

For spot cleaning, use warm water mixed with a mild detergent and gently treat the stained area as soon as possible. Avoid scrubbing, which can damage the fabric; instead, soak the affected spot and then blot it with a soft cloth for best results. By following these simple care tips, you can ensure that your wool blanket remains in pristine condition for years to come.

Storage Tips
