Our Story

Moe Ridne was born in London in 2022, out of love and sweet memories. Friends gathered in a time of great uncertainty, united by a deep connection to their homeland and a desire to share the quiet beauty of Ukrainian culture with the world.

In Ukrainian, "Moe Ridne" means My Cherished one: something that you really love, treasure and treat with great care. The roots of your heart. The scent of your baba’s (granny’s)  hay chest. The softness of handwoven linen. The quiet presence of something so familiar, it feels like home, even when you're far from it.

Inspired by the warmth and authenticity of Ukrainian interiors – natural textures, handcrafted details, stories passed down in stitches – we created this space to bring that spirit into homes around the world. A celebration of design, tradition, and resilience.

But let’s zoom out

Ukraine is not just a country - it’s a mood.. It's a melody (think "Carol of the Bells" originated from Ukrainian folk chant, also known as Shchedryk). It's a feast where toasts are tiny philosophies.  A home where hosts know how to be welcoming and warm while still standing their ground. Here, in Ukraine even amidst challenging times, you’re greeted with warm borsch soup (btw added to the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO)

Ukrainians are famously resilient, disarmingly honest, and blessed with a sense of humour sharp enough to slice a slab of salo. We honour our traditions, roast our friends affectionately, and remain incurable optimists, even when life gives us every reason not to be. We love with the depth of our forests and laugh like no one’s watching, even when the power’s out. Especially then.

We built Moe Ridne to bring this spirit into your hands. To support the artists, the craftspeople who stayed in Ukraine and adapted, who made beauty while the air raid sirens wailed. These are not just products. They’re proof that dignity, resilience, and artistry are very much alive.

Every one of our pieces is handpicked and full of soul. Soon, you’ll find even more treasures here….but let’s keep your curiosity hot.

So whether you’re Ukrainian and homesick, or someone who simply feels the pull of something timeless and true – welcome. You’re invited into our world
